Today i read how valuable marketing through words is more valuable than any other marketing your could do. This is why it is very important to have loyal customers because if we can get them to advertise for us then we will get more business than from our own advertising.
Today i just read about how its good to have many options for customers to contact you.. it makes it alot easier on not only the customer, but for you the buisness as well.
I was reading how purple cows which are things like toys in cereal boxes can be more important than the actual product, and get more sales.
In Fun is Good there is talk of Indians and chiefs, or bosses and employees. Each should work one with the other on the same level. When nobody is set above the group, everybody works together; Each employee is important. This creates trust with the Indians and Chiefs and a sense of equality that opens doors to much more ideas, and decision makers.
I am reading Free Prize Inside by Seth Godin. Today I read about how advertising is not usually successful. It usually has the opposite effect by annoying customers. And Godin keeps talking about the principle of using a free prize or making your product remarkable.
In the book I am reading the author discussed how to be a better salesperson. He encouraged salespeople to be friendly and optimistic. The author stated that to be friendly and optimistic on the outside one must be friendly on the inside.
In Jeffery Gitomer's book about customer loyalty, one point he makes is that making memorable customer moments is one way to get the customer to become loyal. To make positive and memorable experiences with the customer you yourself has to be positve and have a good attitude. I think this point is a good one because when I get friendly service at a grocery store I want to go there again.
In the book I am reading it talks about having confidence in all that you pursue in life and in your business. Without confidence how would you be able to take risks that may help build your business and possibly get you noticed by those who are in bigger companies. Confidence can not be just in yourself you must also have confidence in the people you work with or have working in the company you are running so your employees. Without confidence there can be no trust and with out trust there is no balance, you will always be looking over your sholder. Confidence is key in every aspect of life and lifes lessons.
i really liked how the author said never to say the word policy to a customer and instead to say something like to make it fair to all our customers... i think this would work much better in a business.
Benchmarks are important to maintain, and gain, new customers. First impressions are a must, and wording is important according to Gitomer. We can hold the door open for one more person, speak one more kind compliment, and help one more old lady across the street to gain customers. Loyal customers. Greet the person with a warm WELCOME.
